Objeto:
Ayudas dirigidas a financiar el perfeccionamiento postdoctoral de investigadores en el campo de las enfermedades neurológicas, mediante la realización de un proyecto de investigación un centro diferente al de realización del doctorado. La beca cubrirá el salario del investigador.
Resumen de la convocatoria:
Ayudas dirigidas a financiar el perfeccionamiento postdoctoral de investigadores en el campo de las enfermedades neuromotoras, mediante la realización de un proyecto de investigación, preferentemente un centro diferente al de realización del doctorado.
La beca cubrirá el salario del investigador.
El proyecto a realizar podrán ser de investigación básica (Scientific call) o clínica (Medical call) y deberá estar relacionado con alguna de las siguientes temáticas:
Scientific call:
- Fundamental research and physiopathology of diseases of the neuromuscular system:
- Fundamental research projects aimed at increasing our understanding of molecular, cellular, physiological and pathological mechanisms, involving the structure and function of skeletal muscles, motor neurons,
neuromuscular junctions, aging and degeneration/regeneration in physiological and pathological conditions. - Research projects aimed at increasing our understanding of the clinical and genetic heterogeneity of neuromuscular diseases.
- Genetic cardiomyopathies with muscle structure abnormalities.
- Understanding the physiopathology of smooth muscle in relation to neuromuscular diseases.
- Differentiation of adult, embryonic and iPS stem cells into skeletal/ cardiac muscles or neuronal cells (including motor neurons) (in physiological and pathological conditions).
- Genetic/epigenetic regulation of genes and characterization of gene regulation networks within the neuromuscular system.
- Fundamental research projects aimed at increasing our understanding of molecular, cellular, physiological and pathological mechanisms, involving the structure and function of skeletal muscles, motor neurons,

Development of innovative therapeutic approaches for rare genetic diseases:
- Gene and/or cell therapy for rare genetic disorders.
- Strategies for modifying gene expression both at the gene and RNA level.
- Pharmacotherapies of neuromuscular diseases.
- Translational research: tools for evaluation of treatments for neuromuscular diseases.

Requisitos de los solicitantes:
Investigadores que tengan el título o doctor y estén interesados en llevar a cabo su perfeccionamiento postdoctoral en el campo de las enfermedades neuromusculares.
Cómo se solicita:
El proceso de solicitud deberá ser realizado de manera telemática mediante la plataforma de solicitud.
Cuantía:
28.000€/año.
Duración:
Un año (renovable por un segundo año).
